NYC Lifestyle Shoot Finalists

Thank you so much to everyone who entered the NYC Lifestyle Shoot contest! There were lots of touching and creative entries – so many, in fact, that the team at A Bryan Photo couldn’t narrow it down to just four finalists. So…

…check out the five finalists’ stories either by scrolling down the Snippet & Ink homepage, or by clicking the links below (arranged alphabetically), and then vote for the finalist of your choice! The winner will receive a photo shoot in New York City with A Bryan Photo, plus an 8mm film, plus a $500 travel credit from honeymoon registry site Traveler’s Joy!

Update! Voting is now closed. Congratulations to Lauren, the winner of the NYC Lifestyle Shoot giveaway.

Even if you’re not a finalist – or even if you didn’t enter the contest at all! – you can still hang out with A Bryan Photo in New York City. They are such a blast to be around, they take the most incredible photos, and if you’re in the NYC area December 17 – 20 you can schedule a photo session or 8mm film session with them. Or you can rent their 8mm camera for the day and they’ll process and edit the film for you (um, awesome!). See details on all the offerings, starting at $300, right here. Christmas present anyone?

A huge thank you to A Bryan Photo and Traveler’s Joy for sponsoring this exciting giveaway!

I’ve been lurking on this blog for a while (since I got engaged in August), but don’t comment much. I just wanted to say thank you so much for selecting my entry as a finalist, for this opportunity, and for creating such a welcoming community for readers.

  5. Christine says:

Wow, thank you so much for the opportunity! I did not expect to see my entry up there. I too have been following your blog for a long time. Thanks again!

so many times when these opportunities come up, people always run to the we can’t afford great images. As a photographer myself- while our heart string are pulled and want to help everyone in need. For me these kinds of contests are about telling a really great story. It goes beyond money and need but love, affection and the “story”.

  7. Kelli says:

Thank you so much for this opportunity!!! It would mean the world to my husband and I to take this trip…it would be such a dream come true for HIM!!

  8. Amanda R says:

Potato Tomato. I say who cares if Lauren’s been to NY before? I love her story! Isn’t that what great photography is all about? You’ve got my vote, chicka!

  9. Lauren says:

Oh wow! I was already excited to find out I was a finalist and now I’ve read through the comments and am floored by everyone’s kindness. Sorry I’m just getting to this… it was a busy week at work and an oddly busy Saturday as well.

I have to thank everyone for voting for Matt and me. This trip would mean so much to us both. I just have to make a quick clarification. Linda and Amanda (thanks for the vote!) wrote that I’ve been to New York a lot, but I’ve actually only been there once… 10 years ago… on my senior class trip with 400 of my classmates… on a bus. Not exactly the romantic trip I would envision with Matt today. There may have been confusion since I wrote about the places I’d like to take him. But like most people, my knowledge of New York is limited to movies, magazines, blogs, and these cute travel cards an old roommate gave me. A girl can dream of a once in a lifetime trip, right?

Thank you again to everyone for reading and voting. It’s nice to see that there are still good, sweet people out there.
