This week’s real wedding was sent to me by the talented Cooper Carras, and not only was I excited because it’s beautiful and looks like a ton of fun, but I was also flattered because the bride, Brittany, is a daily reader of Snippet & Ink and she specifically asked Cooper to share these with us! How fun is that! And as if the venue wasn’t special enough, the weather could not possibly have provided a more beautiful day.

The afternoon wedding took place at the Meadwood Resort in Napa.

Rings by Diamond Connection.

Hair and makeup by the Bella Capelli Salon in Napa, 707-226-2061.

Brittany wore a beautiful necklace from Tiffany & Co.

The flowers were done by Friday Flowers.

The bridesmaids wore fabulous print dresses by Kay Unger.

As Brittany walked down the aisle, her a capella group sang “At Last” by Etta James.

Brittany’s dress was from Casablanca Bridal and her veil was handmade by Michael’s mother. Brittany chose to use peonies because they were the same flower that her grandmother used at her wedding.

After the ceremony, guests helped themselves to a luncheon buffet, catered by the Meadowood Resort.

The cake was by Perfect Endings and had layers of carrot cake and apricot cream cake.

In lieu of dancing, guests were invited to play croquet after lunch. For a picture-perfect game, everyone on the croquet lawn wore whites and khakis.

Congratulations Brittany and Michael, and thank you so much for sharing your beautiful wedding day with us! And a huge thank you to Cooper for sending over these incredible photos!

I know I’m a day late with this feature, but once you see it you’ll agree: better late than never! Cheri Pearl shot this darling June wedding on Bainbridge Island, off the coast of Seattle. Bria and Jonathan live in Chicago, so their wedding wouldn’t have been possible without the help of family and friends.

Bria’s sister designed and printed the invitations on her letterpress.

The weather and venue were quintessential of the Northwest – misty rain under the trees.

Bria asked her bridesmaids to choose dresses in complementary shades of green – they each ended up buying a dress from J.Crew!

Bria’s sister also made all of the bouquets.

Bria’s father and sister painted this heart on the side of the house as a surprise.

Jonathan’s parents made the paper daffodils that served as seating cards.

Bria’s family meticulously removed the labels from about 40 empty wine bottles; to save money they filled them with high-quality box wine for each table.

Customized temporary tattoos were fun favors for the couple’s 90 guests.

Congratulations Bria and Jonathan, and thank you so much for sharing your special wedding with us! And a huge thank you to Cheri Pearl for sharing these gorgeous photos!

I first found Karyn Iserman through Southern Weddings’ blog, and had so much fun looking through her website. So you can imagine how excited I was when she shared this beautiful wedding with me! The wedding took place in April on the gorgeous Isle of Palms, on the coast of South Carolina outside of Charleston – a city with special meaning for the bride and groom. Sara from Gathering Floral & Event Design helped to pull together Kimberly’s very specific vision (the bride’s an interior designer!) perfectly.

When Kimberly was born, her mother gave her a sock monkey, so they’ve had a special meaning to her since then. When she found these slippers at Target, she couldn’t resist getting a picture of them with her wedding dress.

The bridesmaids wore black dresses from J.Crew.

Kimberly made the programs herself with materials she found at Swoozies.

The intimate ceremony, with under 40 guests, took place on the beach.

Kimberly wore a dress by Monique Lhuillier.

The reception took place on the lawn of the beach house they rented for the wedding.

Sara from Gathering Floral & Event Design custom made the black and white patterned table runners for Kimberly and Brad.

Cake by Ashley Bakery.

The tent was decorated with vintage-inspired stars and lanterns.

Kimberly and Brad drove off in a vintage Rolls-Royce.

Congratulations Kimberly and Brad, and thank you so much for sharing this gorgeous day with us! And a big thank you to Karyn Iserman for capturing the day so beautifully, and sharing the photos!

I’m not sure how I could spend hours everyday looking at beautiful weddings, and not have come across Ingrid Nelson‘s work until now (her company is called Myrtle and Marjoram – how sweet is that), and once you see these gorgeous photos you’ll wonder the same thing (that is, unless you already knew about her, in which case, why didn’t you tell me!). Lulu Events designed the event, and beautifully blended Great Gatsby-inspired elegance with the uniquely rustic venue.

Stationery by Cheree Berry.

The wedding was held at the Empire Mine, in the foothills of Northern California. The historic state park was chosen by the couple for their wedding, because the bride grew up in the area and visited it many times as a child.

Lacey wore a dress by Jin Wang of San Francisco, and strappy Christian Louboutin heels.

The bridesmaids wore dresses from BCBG in various styles and shades of blue. Lacey signs all of her correspondence with xoxo, so this was incorporated into different elements of the wedding, including the ceremony programs seen here.

Lacey and Stephen’s signature cocktail was called The Groomzilla, a nickname Lacey gave to Stephen during the planning process because he was so involved in every detail.

The black and white linens were custom made in Spain by Wildflower Linen.

The beautiful flowers, created by Blumengarten, were inspired by a photo shoot in Vanity Fair of Gwyneth Paltrow.

The couple and their guests danced on a black and white checked dance floor to the music of The Cheeseballs.

Cake by Divine Desserts.

Dancing shoes and pashminas were stashed in baskets near the dancefloor. Miniature ice cream cones and sliders by Paula LeDuc Fine Catering were served later in the evening.

For Lacey and Stephen’s exit, guests held tall votive candles passed out by waiters, and formed a walkway for the couple to walk through to make their getaway.

Congratulations Lacey and Stephen! And a big thank you to Ingrid from Myrtle and Marjoram for sharing this gorgeous wedding with Snippet & Ink.

When Jocelyn Filley emailed me to introduce herself, I spent some time on her website and just had to know more about this wedding. It is simple, intimate, and very stylish – proof yet again that a wedding need not be over-thought or over-planned to be beautiful and meaningful.

Toni wore a dress by Nicole Miller that she came across while walking through Soho one day. Her hair was styled by Marco Guglielmino.

The flowers were done by Surroundings Flowers.

At the ceremony, Christine Gummere played the Baroque cello and Daniel Swenberg played the theorbo.

The ceremony was held at St. Peter’s Church.

Toni and Pietro chose to hold their reception at Paradou in New York’s Meatpacking district because they had eaten there before and loved the food. The restaurant’s garden was the perfect size for the couple’s 45 guests, and provided a unique and intimate atmosphere.

Congratulations Toni and Pietro, and thank you so much to Jocelyn Filley for sharing these beautiful photos!
